Star Wars Celebration: Divest from ICE

Star Wars Celebration 2027 is produced by ReedPop, a division of RELX Group. While ReedPop provides entertainment, its sister company under the RELX umbrella, LexisNexis, provides data and surveillance technology to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). These tools facilitate the mass tracking and deportation of vulnerable communities, actions that stand in direct opposition to the themes of justice and freedom that Star Wars represents.

We demand the following from Lucasfilm/Disney:

  1. Terminating the contract with ReedPop as the producer of Star Wars Celebration and future projects.

  2. Developing an enforceable vendor policy that prohibits Disney and Lucasfilm from partnering with any entity that maintains contracts with agencies involved in mass surveillance, human rights violations, and aligns with socially responsible standards.

  3. Star Wars Celebration 2027 commits to finding an event producer that aligns with basic human rights and maintains socially responsible operations.
