Tara Skryne Preservation Group
To Preserve and Protect the #GreenHeart of Ireland, the Tara Skryne Landscape Conservation Area from large scale development such as the proposed Leinster Orbital Motorway.
We strongly support local community development to allow local communities, farms and businesses to thrive with our proposal for communities to develop their own Community Development Plans in connection with archaeological and landscape experts. You can read our full #GreenHeart strategy here.

More information
The Tara Skryne Preservation Groups is a volunteer, non-politically affiliated organisation whose only aim is to preserve Tara and its landscape for future generations.
As Nobel laureate, Seamus Heaney (RIP) said before his death the M3 desecrated this ancient landscape. TSPG's simple request is for the Irish government to work with Meath County Council and other statutory bodies to protect the Tara LCA against further inappropriate development, as well as greater protection for our National Monuments and Sacred Places countrywide.
The current proposed Leinster Orbital corridor puts this new motorway adjacent to both Tara Landscape Conservation Area and Brú Na Bóinne (Newgrange) World Heritage) Landscape.
TII has response to the 2012 Meath County Development that the current Leinster Orbital Corridor should be revisited, is an opportunity to revisit and move north of Navan away from the monuments of Ireland ancient east.
We are not against local housing and business developments. We are merely against large scale developments such as proposed Leinster Orbital motorway, which is inappropriate for an archaeological landscape and the reserved corridor should be moved North of Navan.
