About Us

Riders and workers deserve a regional transit system that prioritize equity, affordability, and sustainability over profits. As a working group, we're working towards those goals through our campaigns, which include:

Tax Land, Fund Metro, Build Housing | A land value tax applied to the land surrounding transit stations, the value of which increases greatly due to the presence of transit stations, would incentivize the development of land near transit stations, lessening the burden of the regional housing crisis, reduce the tax burden on multi-family housing and on low- and middle-income households, and provide sustainable funding for the regional transit network through an equitable method.

Autonomous Vehicle Policy | Neither the auto industry—the driving force behind our country’s deadly, inaccessible, and inequitable transportation system—nor big tech—the nation’s prime innovator in exploiting workers—should be in the driver’s seat of DC’s transportation future [full statement available here].
