Ask Your Senators, Representatives, Governor and Mayor to Join JA Community Town Hall
Help send a letter to U.S. Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, U.S. Representatives Pramila Jayapal and Adam Smith, WA Governor Bob Ferguson and Mayor Bruce Harrell to put pressure on them to attend the Seattle Japanese American Community Town Hall on August 19th.
At this town hall, the Japanese American community and those impacted by immigration policy will share their experiences with government surveillance, forced removal, mass indefinite detention, family separation, and deportation. We want our elected officials to hear our demands that they act now, in ways they never did in 1941, to protect vulnerable communities and to share what they are committed to doing to oppose the racist and unconstitutional actions of this presidential administration.
RSVP to attend the Town Hall on August 19th from 6-8PM at the MLK Fame Community Center!
- Sign up to share your testimony here! We offer opportunities to testify in-person at the Town Hall, to have someone read your testimony on your behalf at the Town Hall, and to deliver written/audio/video testimonies to elected officials.
- View our testimony guide for help crafting a powerful statement, and to view examples of community testimony at Redress Hearings.
