I am to complain about the following charity:

This organisation is part of the KKL-JNF family of organisations, established in Europe in 1901 as a principal tool for the Zionist colonisation of the historic land of Palestine, to dispossess Palestinians and to plant trees on top of destroyed Palestinian villages to deny their existence and the right of Palestinian refugees to return.

I am dismayed to learn that KKL Israel is a founding member and remains a corporate member of KKL (Scotland) Charitable Trust.

To this day, the purpose of KKL (Scotland) Charitable Trust and KKL Israel remains the same: to acquire Palestinian land by any means necessary and hold it for Jews only. In 1961, the KKL-JNF signed a Covenant with the Israeli government to maintain a system of apartheid. The KKL-JNF enjoys quasi-governmental status and has significant influence and representation on the Israel Land Authority, which manages 93% of state land and 13% of land 'owned' by KKL-JNF.

Whatever KKL (Scotland) Charitable Trust and KKL Israel claim as charitable objects, their overriding purpose has not changed since 1901, which is “the purpose of settling Jews on such lands and properties” and to replace the indigenous Palestinian population - a practice surely directly opposed to the fundamental laws of equality that all charities in Scotland are expected to comply with.

The role of KKL-JNF is not limited to the 1967 armistice line, where they have been involved in demolishing Palestinian homes, the displacement of families, and establishing parks and forests on destroyed villages; they are also involved in supporting and financing Israel's military and illegal settlements in the Occupied West Bank.

Amnesty International has written extensively about the role of KKL-JNF in 'Israel's Apartheid Against the Palestinians' from before 1948 until today, as have other Palestinian, Israeli, and international academics and human rights organisations. It is not a secret what KKL-JNF stands for. In Scotland, their Honorary President is Stanley Lovatt, who is also Honorary Consul for the state of Israel.

It is shameful that such an organisation is a registered charity in Scotland. In 2024, Canada revoked the KKL-JNF's tax-exempt charity status; it is time for Scotland to do the same.

I ask that OSCR immediately remove this organisation from the Scottish Charity Register.
