The House has voted for a budget resolution which include instructions to make trillions in cuts to healthcare, nutrition assistance, school meals, education and other vital services that children and families rely on to thrive. In slashing Medicaid, SNAP, school meals, and other core programs, this cruel plan is a tax on working families and will worsen the cost of living crisis. Even though our collective advocacy has helped to slow the Senate, they are still scheduled to vote on an equally devastating budget resolution this weekend, meaning it could be signed as early as July 4th.

We need to send our representatives a clear message: stand up for California and reject any budget deal that would harm our children and families just to fund tax breaks for billionaires and corporations.
