As you know, HB 495, the bill that would remove the CPA requirement for NPs and CNMs has passed the House H&W Committee, the House floor, and the Senate H&W Committee and has been on the schedule to be heard on the Senate floor for the past several days without being heard. This may be a politically motivated stall. The Senate leadership needs to be encouraged to bring the bill to the floor for a vote.

Email and call with the message: “Please make sure that HB 495 is heard on the Senate floor asap. This important bill would increase access to care to Louisiana citizens and has wide grassroots support. Thank you for making sure our elected officials have the opportunity to vote for HB 495.”
