Kevin "Rashid" Johnson Was Hogtied and Injured — Demand Action Now
Kevin “Rashid” Johnson is a Virginia prisoner, a jailhouse lawyer, and a published writer who has spent decades exposing abuse inside Virginia’s prison system. In retaliation for his political writing and whistleblowing, he was transferred out of state — and nearly destroyed in the process.
While being transferred to South Carolina, Rashid was hogtied wrist-to-ankle, placed in a van with no seatbelts, and seriously injured when officers drove recklessly. His leg is still swollen and untreated. He was never given an MRI or orthopedic evaluation.
He says he did not agree to this transfer — he signed under coercion, then tried to withdraw when he learned South Carolina was on the list. Virginia sent him anyway.
This isn’t just a case of medical neglect — it’s a case of political retaliation and constitutional violation, with both states trying to avoid accountability.
Now it’s up to us to expose it — and demand that Virginia and South Carolina take action to stop it.
