Hello, I'm a resident of Maryland District [District Number]. I’m calling to urge [Legislator Name] to vote in favor of the Transportation Equity Act of 2022, filed as Senate Bill 23 and House Bill 141. For too long, Baltimore's black and disabled communities have been denied access to amenities, jobs, and economic opportunities through actions by MDOT like cancelling the Red Line, building highways through neighborhoods, and cuts to major bus lines. These wrongs must be righted and prevented from happening in the future. The Transportation Equity Act of 2022 mandates equity and public engagement for all major transit decisions in MD, which is why I ask that you support Senate Bill 23 and House Bill 141.
