On Wednesday, July 9, 14 U.S. Senators - including 7 Democrats and 7 Republicans - met with and took part in a photo op with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is charged by the International Criminal Court with war crimes and crimes against humanity, including using starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza.

Those Senators include: Ted Cruz (R-TX), Adam Schiff (D-CA), Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Steve Daines (R-MT), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), John Thune (R-SD), Jim Risch (R-ID), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Chris Coons (D-DE), Cory Booker (D-NJ), Dave McCormick (R-PA), and Jon Husted (R-OH)

Since the beginning of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza in October 2023, the US has given more than $30 billion in taxpayer-funded weapons to Israel to enable its atrocities, including over $12.5 billion since President Trump took office.

The US is not only complicit in Israel’s killing of at least 59,000 Palestinians in Gaza–but these Senators were willing to undermine international law to participate in a photo op with the Israeli leader responsible for these atrocities.

Polls show that the overwhelming majority of Americans disapprove of Netanyahu, and his approval with Democrats stands at just 5%. Tell your Senator to immediately apologize for taking part in this shameful photo op, and to commit to upholding international law.
