IMEU Policy Project
Palestinians, like all people, are entitled to live in freedom and with their human rights respected. Yet, for too long, the US government has funded and enabled Israel’s denial of Palestinian human rights.
Generations of Palestinians haven’t experienced a day of freedom as a result of Israel’s illegal military occupation and apartheid rule. It doesn’t have to be this way. A better future is possible.
More and more Americans support freedom and justice for Palestinians and do not want to see their government footing the bill—using billions of taxpayer dollars annually to fund Israel’s military with no accountability when these weapons are used in violation of US and international law.
IMEU Policy Project believes that US policy should advance human rights and respect for international law for all people, with no exception.
In order to achieve a just and lasting peace between Palestinians and Israelis, we must address the root causes. Israel must end its military rule over the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip; dismantle all policies and practices that discriminate against Palestinians; and finally allow Palestinian refugees to exercise their long-denied right of return to their homes and lands.
The solution is, and always has been, simple and obvious: freedom. Together, we can take action to ensure that there is true safety and peace for all. US policy should reflect these values.
IMEU Policy Project works to educate elected officials, policy-makers, and voters, and advocate in Congress and the Executive Branch for US policies that advance Palestinian rights and freedom. We operate from anti-racist principles and strongly reject all forms of bigotry and hatred. We work with movements and candidates who are aligned with our values.
IMEU Policy Project is a 501(c)(4) organization affiliated with the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU). IMEU was founded in 2005 by a group of concerned Americans who want to foster an increased understanding among Americans about Palestine and the Palestinians.
