Israeli and U.S. airstrikes on Iran this weekend have brought the region into a full-blown war. The reality of a widespread, devastating conflict is real and rising by the hour.

At the behest of the Israeli regime, President Trump is barreling toward another illegal and catastrophic U.S. military entanglement. But we still have a chance to stop it.

A bipartisan group in Congress is working to block further military action in Iran by passing the War Powers Resolution in the House and Senate. Among the leaders of this push are Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie and Senators Tim Kaine and Rand Paul.

Their efforts could stop a decades-long disastrous regional war.

At the root of this crisis is the same unchecked militarism driving Israel's apartheid regime and its campaign of destruction, from Gaza to Tehran. One of the first targets of the latest joint Israeli-U.S. strikes was a girls’ elementary school in the Iranian city of Minab, killing more than 100 children, with dozens more injured and missing.

Just hours later, Israel announced that it was reimposing its full siege on Gaza, blocking all crossings and the entry of all aid and humanitarian workers.

U.S. weapons and unconditional support have enabled this violence for far too long. It must end.

Email your members of Congress and demand support legislation to block bombs to Israel and sign onto the Massie-Khanna resolution in the House and Kaine-Paul resolution in the Senate. Tell them:

• No war with Iran.
• No more weapons for genocidal Israel.
• End the siege on Gaza.
