Reform Measure ULA!
Measure ULA was a tax passed by City of Los Angeles voters in 2022. The intent was to fund more affordable housing and reduce homelessness. Unfortunately, since its passage, problems within its structure have emerged that are actually reducing housing production and hurting affordability.
The Ad Hoc Committee will determine what reforms are recommended to go on the November ballot — which means the next month may be the most important window for reform we'll get. Making your voice heard now is how we shape what voters see this fall.
The City Council needs to hear that our goal is not to end ULA, but to improve it so it better fulfills the housing and homelessness goals for which Angelenos voted.
Take one minute to send our letter to the council urging meaningful reform, laying out why ULA needs to be fixed and what's at stake for housing production and the city’s finances if it isn't.
