Winters Mill High School is in danger of being closed. On October 14th, the Carroll County Board of Education's Boundary Adjustment Committee submitted a proposal to close Winters Mill as a high school and strip it for parts, using the building as a new middle school and shipping the students, teachers, and programs to four other schools. We oppose Option 4.

Winters Mill is STILL in danger. After we defeated Option 4 from being used in the official recommendation that is now in public hearing, communities affected by closings have risen up to demand the resurrection of Option 4, or worse variations of it. All have one thing in common: They dismantle Winters Mill as a high school.

Sending phone calls, emails, and handwritten letters to the Board of Education is the number one way to defeat Option 4. YOUR voice is paramount in influencing the votes of the decision-makers you elect.
