Take Action to Oppose Greedy Health Insurance Rate Hike Requests!

Health insurance companies are asking the Connecticut Insurance Department (CID) for its blessing to raise your rates - again.

Requested increases are as high as 13.6%.

What they don't tell you is that these companies are spending billions of your premium dollars making the rich even richer, with executive pay, stock buybacks, and profits.

The CID will have a public hearing on these requests on August 20th. We are urging everyone to write to the CID now to tell them to Stop Insurance Greed.

They need to take into account vertical integration and mergers and acquisitions, profits, executive pay, stock buybacks, and -- to reject these requests.

In the coming weeks, CCAG will reveal 2023 spending by just four health insurance companies on profits, CEO pay and stock buybacks. They are making billions by rejecting your claims and raising your rates.

Clearly, our government needs to act in a much stronger manner to rein in these corporate profiteers. Stay tuned for more information, and follow CCAG on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for posts on this excessive greed. Be prepared to be shocked. We reveal how the insurance companies who sought to derail the public option have spent billions of your premium dollars to further enrich themselves and already-wealthy shareholders.

Please submit comment to the CID by using this comment form. You can use the pre-written letter as is or personalize it. Personal stories have a greater impact.

There is also a meeting being planned for August 8th. Details will be sent to those who send comment to the CID.
