Tell Congress: Free Leqaa Kordia from ICE detention!
Feb. 9 update: Leqaa Kordia has been discharged from the hospital following a seizure. Her family and counsel were not able to contact her during her hospitalization. Now, she has been returned to ICE detention, where she is being unlawfully held. Please take action by sending emails to your Members of Congress and calling them using our call tool at mpoweraction.org/urgentleqaa

Leqaa Kordia, a 33-year-old Palestinian woman from Paterson, New Jersey, has been held unlawfully in detention for 11 months at the Prairieland Detention Facility in Texas 1,500 miles away from her family, for speaking out against the ongoing genocide in Gaza that has killed nearly 200 members of her family.
An immigration judge has twice determined Leqaa to be releasable. We need Congress to act immediately.
The Prairieland Detention Facility in Texas is one of many ICE detention centers notorious for human rights violations. “No freedom, no justice. It’s just an ugly place to be,” Leqaa said.
ACT NOW: Tell your Members of Congress to take action immediately and call for the release of Leqaa Kordia from ICE detention.
