Tell Congress: Protect Our Voting Rights! Reject Trump’s Takeover of Our Elections
Trump just signed an executive order attempting to take control of the 2026 midterm elections. The order amounts to a massive attack on our voting rights—and it’s plainly unconstitutional.
The order directs the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration to compile a federal list of "verified" citizens, forcing the United States Postal Service to refuse delivery of ballots to anyone not on that list. If allowed to stand, the order would give Trump the power over elections that states are meant to have, and could suppress millions of legitimate votes.
Trump has told Republicans they will lose the midterms unless they crack down on voting. He is openly admitting that this is a partisan power grab designed to keep his party in control—regardless of the will of the people.
This is how the wealthy and powerful steal power from working people so that only their voice matters, not ours. The wannabe dictator is trying to entrench MAGA power by tipping the scales against the very communities that turn out in force when voting is accessible.
Legal challenges take time, and we know the bought-and-paid for Supreme Court will likely side with Trump if any lower courts dare rule against him. That’s why we need Congress to defend voting rights right now.
The Constitution gives states the power to administer elections—not Donald Trump. Tell Congress to reject this executive overreach and pass legislation that protects access to the ballot before it’s too late.
