The majority of Americans, including Republicans, no longer support unconditional, unlimited weapons and military aid to the apartheid state of Israel. Internationally recognized genocide scholars and dozens of human rights organizations, including Israeli groups, have concluded that Israel is currently committing genocide against the Palestinian people. Yet too many of our lawmakers continue to reflexively vote in line with the Israel lobby’s agenda, driven by AIPAC, sponsoring billions of dollars in weapons and material support for this ongoing violence and crisis, despite the clear violation of U.S. and international law.

Simply rejecting AIPAC money is not enough. It’s time for our representatives to clearly state their positions with firm policy commitments with the PEACE Pledge.

The people are with us. It’s time for the politicians to catch up.
