Tell Congress to STOP the AI-powered Medicare death panel!

One of the best things about traditional, government-run Medicare is that patients and doctors—not corporations—decide on care. Unlike privatized Medicare Advantage, there’s little to no prior authorization. That means people get the treatment they need when they need it without endless red tape.

Trump’s Medicare chief, Dr. Oz, has announced a pilot program in six states (Arizona, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, and Washington) that would hand traditional Medicare over to private companies using artificial intelligence to override doctors’ decisions.

This is nothing short of an AI-powered Medicare death panel.

We know what happens when corporations get between people and their health care: denials, delays, and billions siphoned off into CEO bonuses and shareholder profits. Medicare Advantage already costs taxpayers $150 billion more a year than traditional Medicare. Now they want to bring that same corruption to traditional Medicare.

We can’t let them. Congress must step in to stop this privatization scheme.

Tell your Federal legislators to STOP the Trump Administration’s pilot program to allow computers — instead of doctors — to decide whether people on traditional Medicare can get care.
