TELL CONNECTICUT LEADERS: No More Crumbs! We demand REAL pandemic relief

This month marks 7 months since the COVID-19 pandemic hit Connecticut.

7 months that many in the immigrant community have been without work and without income.

7 months without meaningful relief or action from the state of Connecticut to support our undocumented community.

With each day, it becomes clearer — the state of Connecticut has left and will continue to leave our immigrant community behind.

This is unacceptable.

Connecticut’s 120,000 of undocumented immigrant individuals keep our state running. These are the essential workers on the frontlines of the pandemic since day 1, at grocery stores, restaurants, delivery services, and healthcare clinics. And yet, they are excluded from all support aid programs like the Federal stimulus check and do not qualify for unemployment. All relief programs directed to support the local undocumented community have been gravely insufficient and poorly implemented.

CT’s undocumented immigrant community is suffering and struggling to survive as a result of the COVID-19 public health crisis. CT’s leadership needs to step up and help the most vulnerable communities in the state.

SEND AN EMAIL TO YOUR LEGISLATOR TODAY - and demand that they advocate for our Governor to enact a REAL disaster relief fund for CT’s immigrant community.
