Government-mandated delays paired with a ticking timeline of only 6 weeks would cut off
abortion access for much of Florida, hitting hardest the people living in rural areas, minors,
those of low-income, and already marginalized communities. These policies in combination
point out the hypocrisy in the anti-abortion agenda: the state limits you to 6 weeks to choose an
abortion yet doesn’t trust your decision at the first appointment, and requires at least 24 hours
for you to further consider your decision.
The 6-week abortion ban will cause immeasurable harm for people who need abortion care-–particularly for women living on low incomes. It’s imperative that lawmakers vote NO on the 6-week abortion ban and instead focus on helping the families that call Florida home.
