Write The Carroll County Times

In response to our community's concern that recent opinion from the The Carroll County Times is bordering on blatant activism to close Winters Mill, the Times content manager responded:
"I'm guessing there's a few others that I've missed, but I'd also argue you probably haven't seen too many letters of support from the WMHS community since the Nov. 11 meeting when Mr. Guthrie made his recommendations because Winters Mill wasn't among the recommended closures, and logically, there wasn't as great a need for those individuals to write..."
Let's prove them wrong.
We need you to write to the Carroll County Times. In the recent weeks, there has been nothing but urgency for the Winters Mill community. Plan after plan proposed by Mt. Airy, Finksburg, Manchester, Hampstead, and New Windsor have proposed turning Winters Mill into a middle school or a grades 7-12 school. Dismantling Westminster schools in order to subsidize lesser utilized schools in more affluent areas of Carroll has become the savior "option" for any community who wants to keep their school open. It's time to defend the Mill.
Our community tells us they write the Carroll County Times. The CCT has stated they haven't heard from us. Using this form will send your letter to the editor to the Carroll County Times and to the Committee to Save Winters Mill, so that we can follow up and make sure your voice is heard.
