Arsenal: Drop Emirates until the UAE stops fueling war in Sudan.
Stanley Kroenke, Co-chair of Arsenal Football Club
Arsenal Football Club is much loved by its fans and its community. Through its club song “Victory Through Harmony,” Arsenal represents more than just winning games. It stands for values: respect, fairness, and pride.
But right now, Arsenal's main sponsor, the airline Emirates, is owned by the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a government whose weapons and funding are helping to fuel genocide in Sudan.
Here’s what’s happening:
-
Millions in Sudan are starving. Entire communities are cut off from food and aid.
-
Villages are being burned, civilians massacred. The violence is targeting women, children, and people simply trying to survive.
-
The UAE is making it worse. Investigations show that weapons and money from the UAE are reaching the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) who is responsible for these atrocities.
The Arsenal relationship with Emirates links the club to this suffering, even if the club doesn’t mean it. That’s not the Arsenal way.
By signing this petition, you’re telling the Arsenal Football Club:
-
We expect Arsenal to uphold its values.
-
We don’t want Arsenal’s name to be used to whitewash governments fueling war and famine.
-
We want Arsenal to be a global leader in standing up for justice, not just taking sponsorship money.
Arsenal is a club with class, and when its fans speak, the club listens. We’ve seen it before with ticket pricing, the Super League, and more. Let's tell Arsenal that we care about what happens off the pitch as much as what happens on it.

We believe that Arsenal Football Club should stand for more than football.
Right now, millions of people in Sudan are facing famine and mass atrocities. Armed groups are burning villages, committing massacres, and blocking food aid. Reports show that weapons and funds from the United Arab Emirates are helping fuel this war and keep civilians trapped in a nightmare.
We see how fans of Arsenal take pride in the club's motto: “Victory Through Harmony.” But there can be no harmony while Arsenal wears the logo of a state-owned company that is linked to a government helping to arm those responsible for atrocities.
Arsenal is not just a team, it’s a global community. It's a community of fans that respect the badge, value fair play, and stand up for what is right. Arsenal's sponsorships should reflect the club's values.
We call on Arsenal’s leadership to:
Publicly speak out about the crisis in Sudan.
Review and end the Emirates sponsorship deal unless the UAE stops supporting armed groups committing atrocities.
Show that Arsenal stands for justice and human dignity, not just money.
Arsenal has always been a club with class. Let’s prove it again. People around the world are watching and we want Arsenal Football Club to be a force for good.
