Howard Hughes is planning to ban dogs from Victoria Ward Park.

This decision was made without community input and contradicts long-standing representations that Ward Village is a pet-friendly community.

Ward Village has repeatedly described itself as pet friendly. In its own words, Ward Village states that “all of our grounds are pet friendly” and that “your pet is always welcome here.” Residents relied on these representations when choosing to live in Ward Village.

A central park that excludes dog owners contradicts Ward Village’s own published statements and unfairly excludes a significant portion of the community. We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for consistency with what Ward Village has long promised and promoted.
