Stop Union Busting, Reinstate Gabriela Bruner and Michelle Maser, and Honor Our Contract!
Walker Art Center Management
Dear Walker Art Center Workers and Allies,
Our union is under attack. In the past year, over 50% of our bargaining unit has been pushed out, hours have been slashed, and now management has escalated its union-busting tactics by laying off our union president, Michelle Maser, and firing our secretary, Gabriela Bruner. Meanwhile, they continue to discipline workers at an alarming rate in an effort to silence us.
We cannot let this stand! Signing this petition is a critical step in showing management that we will not back down. Our demands are simple:
Reinstate Gabriela Bruner and Michelle Maser
Stop the cuts to workers’ hours
Honor our contract and stop union busting
The Walker Art Center thrives because of our labor, our dedication, and our voices. Now, more than ever, we need to come together and fight for the fair treatment we deserve. Sign the petition today and share it with your co-workers, friends, and allies who support workers’ rights.
Together, we are stronger. Together, we will win!

Walker Art Center workers are demanding an end to the blatant union busting that has resulted in over 50% of our bargaining unit being pushed out in the last year. Management has cut workers’ hours, disregarded our contract, and most recently, laid off both our union president, Michelle Maser, and our secretary, Gabriela Bruner. Meanwhile, workers are being disciplined at an alarming rate, creating a culture of fear and intimidation.
These actions are a direct attack on our union and our right to fair working conditions. The Walker Art Center must honor our contract before reducing workers’ hours and respect the agreements made with its employees.
We are living in tenuous times socially and politically, and instead of supporting the dedicated workers who make the Walker Art Center thrive, you are cutting hours, silencing voices, and dismantling our union. We call on you to reverse these harmful decisions, reinstate Gabriela Bruner and Michelle Maser, honor our contract, and respect workers' rights.
We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with Gabriela, Michelle, and all workers at the Walker Art Center. We will not be silenced. We will not accept these unjust actions, and we will fight for our rights to organize, speak out, and work in a fair and safe environment.
