Join us for our annual fundraiser, the Sibling Shindig!

We're planning a party to celebrate with all of our participants, our families, our friends, and our whole communities. It's a great opportunity to connect with all parts of our programing - our cohorts, our affinity groups, our Kitchen Karaoke, and more!

We're thrilled to announce that Liat Ben-Moshe will be our keynote speaker! She is an interdisciplinary scholar-activist working at the intersection of disability/madness, incarceration/decarceration and abolition. She is the author of Decarcerating Disability: Deinstitutionalization and Prison Abolition (University of Minnesota Press 2020) and co-editor (with Allison Carey and Chris Chapman) of Disability Incarcerated: Imprisonment and Disability in the United States and Canada (Palgrave 2014). Dr. Ben-Moshe is an Associate Professor of Criminology, Law and Justice at the University of Illinois at Chicago. We're also planning to create some mingling and dancing time, and this short and fun family-friendly event. You can even request your favorite song and dedicate it to a friend or family member!

In addition to what is outlined in our accessibility policy, the Sibling Shindig will also offer interpretation to ASL, as well as real time live captioning. Please let us know if you need other interpretation or have additional access needs we should be aware of.
