Please join the September 25 Global strike!

The coming months and years will be crucial in ensuring a safe pathway below a 1.5 °C increase in global mean temperature, a target stated in the Paris Agreement. If we are to minimize the risks of triggering irreversible chain reactions beyond human control, we need to act now. It is therefore vital that the climate crisis doesn’t get forgotten in the shadow of the coronavirus but is regarded as the utmost priority.

Fridays For Future declares a Global Day of Action on September 25th. Optionally join on September 26th. The form of protest should be adjusted according to local Covid-19 conditions and in places where physical action will be taking place, participants will be asked to take precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. In cases where physical protest is inappropriate, it is instead recommended to turn to digital action.

If there is interest in observing social distancing while having a day of action, you can also take part in or organize your own SHOESTRIKE. Any local group can chose to have one or many shoestrikes September 25 or 26. For details around shoestrikes, go here. Whatever type of action you  to chose or attend, press the appropriate button on the right. If you are a host for a strike or shoe strike September 25 or 26, or in that time period, be creative and describe your event the way you want to after selecting the red button here on the right. Save your work. Feel free to to use as a sponsor a local FFF group which often corresponds to the town where you live, for example FFF Hometown. El 25 y 26 de Septiembre, Fridays For Future llevará a cabo su primer Día de Acción Global en el año. Las protestas deberán ajustarse a las medidas sanitarias en razón a la situación de la pandemia en cada país, y en donde se puedan realizar manifestaciones en físico se le demanda a lxs participantes en tomar precauciones y medidas de protección, de no ser este el caso se realizarán de manera virtual.
