Greenbelt City Council election season is upon us, and we all have the chance to win a better future by electing city councilmembers who will fight for working-class Greenbelters! Come out to a house party for council candidate Frankie Fritz and councilmember Amy Knesel to learn more about their vision for the city, share your own thoughts and concerns, and enjoy the company of friends and neighbors. (There will also be homemade ice cream!)

Amy Knesel brought a long record of community service with her to Greenbelt's City Council in 2023. She proudly voted for noncitizen voting rights in city elections, codification of GPD's non-enforcement of administrative ICE warrants, and has fought on the side of Greenbelt renters facing unjust evictions. She's driven by a vision of Community, Equity, and Accessibility for all, and will continue to work to build resilience in our city in the face of relentless attacks by federal authorities and an agenda that threatens to bleed communities dry.

Frankie Fritz is a longtime community organizer and labor organizer fighting for quality housing as a human right - starting with a strong rent control measure to keep Greenbelt affordable for renters. The product of a proud union family, Frankie supports a collective bargaining ordinance covering the entire city workforce. Frankie will also work to empower the City of Greenbelt to expand democratic participation in every part of the city - 17% voter participation is not enough!
