This year, we’re raising our glasses at New Park Brewing in West Hartford for a night that blends inspiration with celebration. Enjoy an open-bar reception, delicious food, and vibrant connections in a welcoming, wheelchair-accessible space designed for community and joy.
We are proud to honor remarkable leaders in our community:
-
The Rev. Dr. Davida Foy Crabtree, receiving the Laddie Michalowski Community & Labor Award for a lifetime of faith-driven activism and her leadership in building Third Act Connecticut into a powerful statewide movement for climate action and democracy.
-
Effie and Angaza Mwando, founders of Our Culture is Beautiful, receiving the Nancy Benedict Social Justice Award for advancing cultural unity, celebrating African American history, and fostering intergenerational community connections through art and storytelling.
During the program, we will also celebrate a milestone for democracy in Connecticut 20 years of the Citizens’ Election Program (CEP).
✨ What to Expect
Start the evening with a lively reception featuring food, drinks, and fellowship. Come hungry! Both vegan and vegetarian options will be available. The night continues with the awards presentation and a chance to connect with allies new and old, all while supporting CCAG’s work for justice and democracy.

Early bird ticket prices start at $60 and are available until November 10. After that date, single ticket prices will rise to $120.
