Come celebrate the people who organize, persist, and make progress possible.
CCAG spends the year organizing, advocating, researching, speaking out, and bringing people together to fight for a Connecticut that puts everyday people first. On December 10, we get to do something just as important: celebrate.
Join us for CCAG’s 2026 Annual Awards Celebration, an evening of community, connection, inspiration, and fun as we recognize extraordinary people who have spent years turning their values into action.
Come reconnect with longtime friends, meet new allies, celebrate what we have accomplished together, and leave energized for everything still ahead.
This year’s celebration will take place at J House Under the Dome in Hartford.
THIS YEAR’S HONOREES
We are thrilled to honor former State Senator Marilyn Moore with the Laddie Michalowski Community & Labor Award. Moore represented Bridgeport, Monroe, and Trumbull in the Connecticut State Senate for a decade before retiring in 2024.
We are also proud to honor Gretchen Raffa with the Nancy Benedict Social Justice Award. Raffa is Chief Policy and Advocacy Officer at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, where she leads legislative affairs and advocacy work across Connecticut and Rhode Island and has dedicated her career to reproductive freedom.
Their work reflects what these awards are all about: showing up, building power with others, and staying committed to making our communities stronger and more just.
COME FOR THE CELEBRATION. LEAVE READY FOR WHAT’S NEXT.
There is a lot worth celebrating, and plenty of work ahead.
The 2027 legislative session will begin just weeks after we gather. This event helps make sure CCAG enters that new year ready to organize, mobilize, advocate, research, and take direct action on the issues affecting people across Connecticut.
Your ticket does more than get you in the room. It helps power the work that happens after everyone goes home.
The work continues, but this night is about gathering, reconnecting, and celebrating what we have built together.
Expect an energetic room full of activists, advocates, community leaders, friends, longtime CCAG members, and people who simply care about making Connecticut better. It is a chance to step away from the constant stream of bad news, enjoy each other’s company, celebrate people doing meaningful work, and remember how much is possible when people organize together.
TICKETS & EARLY-BIRD PRICING
Early-bird rates are available through December 3. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged.
CCAG believes cost should not keep someone who wants to be part of this community from joining us. Scholarship and reduced-price tickets will be available. Please contact NatashaK@ccag.net for more information.
CAN’T MAKE IT? YOU CAN STILL BE PART OF THE NIGHT.
We’ll miss you, but you can still help make the celebration and the work it supports possible.
Purchase a scholarship ticket so a student, activist, or community member can attend, make an additional contribution with your ticket purchase, or simply give what you can from afar.
Your support helps make sure CCAG has the people and resources to respond quickly, organize deeply, and keep showing up when it matters.
WANT TO MAKE AN EVEN BIGGER IMPACT?
Businesses, organizations, families, and individuals can also place a message in the 2027 CCAG Consumer Handbook, unveiled at the Awards Celebration and shared at CCAG events throughout 2027. Display messages begin at $100, with larger placements including tickets to the celebration. The deadline for ads and sponsorships is November 30
